The Foundation has established an annual regular grant cycle from which the earnings from the unrestricted funds are made. Grant applications are due in the Foundation office by noon, Central Time, April 1 for consideration.
The Foundation has also established a Community Impact Grant cycle, for which an annual theme is announced. Community Impact Grant applications are due in the Foundation office by noon, Central Time, October 1 for consideration.
A group considering a grant request should contact the Foundation office with an inquiry regarding the project and the level of assistance that would be requested. This information enables the Foundation to determine whether or not a formal application is in order.
Grant applications are available in the Foundation office. For further assistance, please contact Linda Reiners, Executive Director of the Jasper Foundation, at 219-866-5899.

· Projects which propose practical solutions to community needs;
· Projects which promote cooperation among existing agencies without duplicating services;
· Projects that will become self-sustaining without requiring on-going Foundation funds;
· Grants are not normally made for budget deficits or sectarian religious activities.
